The PGA Tour decided to have its first money event in the country of Mexico at the Mayakoba Resort in Playa del Carmen, Quintana Roo. Since this was a first time event in Mexico the PGA Tour did not know what to expect in the way of security needs, so they contacted Bower Security whom they worked with in the past to facilitate their security concerns.
Bower Security stepped up to the challenge only a few weeks away from the tournament advancing other security companies, qualifying them and planning how to make the tournament secure. The Bower team worked with Mexican Government Officials and coordinated with local security companies to assemble a security force consistent to what the PGA Tour is accustomed to.
The Bower Security Team was onsite coordinating all aspects of the security for the event, including briefing local law enforcement officials, coordinating other security companies all synergistically to make a successful event.
